Getting started with HubSpot
HubSpot isn’t always the answer, and for some companies it’s not the right software, and that’s okay.
I’d be happy to help you evaluate HubSpot, and if you do decide that’s it’s the right tool for your business, I can help with the communication with HubSpot and negotiate the best discounts and contract terms.
Ever heard about the phrase “measure twice, cut once”? – This part is exactly for this. To make sure that you get a proper introduction to HubSpot and know of the tool’s capabilities and limitations before you get started. And once you start, I will help you define the goals with HubSpot and understand how to best reach them using the tool.
This is typically covered during a 30-60 min. goal setting meeting, which will lay the foundation for following work.
This part is where the talking stops and the work starts.
I will help you set up your HubSpot account and customise it to your needs. While it may vary slightly, the basic account set up will typically include:
- Consultation on importing data into HubSpot (from a .csv, xlsl, or xls file)
- Branding set up
- Create custom properties
- E-mail integration set up
- Pipeline set up
- Recreating existing forms
Migrating to HubSpot from another CRM? Then there are a few things you should know and do in the right order in order to avoid the most common pitfalls.
As the scope and complexity of a CRM migration can vary tremendously, I’d recommend you book in an introduction call to discuss the project further.

Implementation and onboarding
The value of a tool such as HubSpot is all about how you use it. Therefore it’s essential that you clearly define which of your business processes you would like to run in HubSpot, and then replicate them up properly in the tool.
HubSpot can do many things extremely well, but there are also areas where it falls short and where using another software will be the better option. In such a case, you will need figure out how to use the other software together with HubSpot and potentially integrate the two.
One thing is having the right tools, but if your team doesn’t know how to use it properly, or doesn’t “buy in to it”, it’s useless.
Therefore onboarding and training of key team members in HubSpot is essential. This way they will know how to use HubSpot to make their work more efficient and effective. If this is left out HubSpot can very easily become a “chore” and a very bad investment.

Optimisation and scale
Perhaps your company has been using HubSpot for a while, but never quite felt that you’re getting enough out of it. If so, then this part is for you. It will cover goal setting to understand what you want to get out of HubSpot, and a full account review to identify areas where where you can get more out of HubSpot.
Big plans for the year ahead, maybe you’re about to release a new product, expand into a new market or customer segment, and want to know how to use HubSpot most effectively for your go-to-market strategy?
In need of some additional support along your journey, then I’d be happy to work with you as an external CMO/ HubSpot consultant to help you reach your goals.

Questions you may have
Yes. I work with everything from the free software to enterprise across the different product lines ( marketing, sales, service, operations and CMS).
My process varies slightly from case to case, but this is how it looks like for a typical project.
- We start out with an introduction call to decide if there is a good fit between your business challenges and what I do
- Assuming there is a good fit, the next step would be to have a one or two 45-60 min. exploratory calls to dive deeper into these challenges
- After this I will be able to present you with a project mapping as well as as the investment required from your side
- Assuming you’re fine with that, we’ll kick off the project with a goal review call to clarify your goals with the project to better align expectations
- The next fews weeks would consist on me working on the project, perhaps with a couple of shorter calls with key members of your company to get input
Once the work is complete, we’ll go over it together and discuss, and I’ll make the necessary revisions
If possible, we run a sample test to validate the solutions, and if all is good, we ship, and if not, we will go back to the previous step
You continue your work, and I’ll support as necessary over the next few weeks
I don’t do custom custom integrations. If this is needed I can suggest a suitable technical partner.
If you’re not sure if an integration will require a lot of custom work, get in touch and let me know which software you wish to integrate with HubSpot and what you want the integration to do, and I will let you know the possibilities.
I also don’t do website migrations, but I can help you create a new one in HubSpot or WordPress. Unless you’re happy with the design of your current website, it’s often faster (and less costly) to create a brand new one if you’re already going to change website provider.
Absolutely! All of the companies I work are unique in their own way, and I always seek to tailor the solution the individual company’s business needs.
If you have a specific challenge that you would like discuss, fill out the form in the bottom of the page with information around what you need, and I’ll get back, or book in an introduction call.
My core expertise and focus is HubSpot (CRM, Marketing, sales, service, and CMS hub) as I believe it’s only possible to master a few things. However, I also work with website development and digital marketing, and have hands on experience with many of the biggest software technologies in the market.
For the most part, yes. This way I can ensure full control of the project and focus on understanding your business and its needs.
However, If the project moves outside of my scope and requires skills outside of my toolbox, I may bring in partners.
